This makes me feel quite furious. Another anomaly and corruption in our local government. Such a shame that our local officials are victimizing people who have been victims of a the Yolanda catastrophe already. Don't they have a heart? Why build an over-priced and substandard shelter when we have overwhelming funds received from foreign countries. When will this country learn? I've read that an investigation was already set to probe on this alleged anomaly. As for us people, we need to keep an eye on this and be more vigilant with what's happening around us. To all our government officials, please stop corruption and be decent individuals. After all, you won't be where you are without the people.
Just a short anecdote - I was with my family and met this military guy while we were on a real estate event a few weeks ago. He said a multitude of foreign aid was received by the local government and the goods were already packed and distributed on big boxes. Take note that the victims are intended to get a box. However, once received, these boxes will be opened and then re-packed again into plastic bags. Per the source, during the re-packing stage, some of the goods (i.e. canned goods) were pulled out and were being sold on stores or malls. The source happened to drop by a grocery store and saw this canned good with a label at the back "not for sale".
I won't say more. Now it's for you to judge if this bunk house overpricing is true or not.
